Welcome to Second Wind Network

Somewhere in our 40's or 50's we catch our second wind and want to do something more significant with the "second half" of our lives. Second Wind Network is here to help you make that move. Anybody who wants to make this change, whether in their 40's or looking at what to do in retirement, or somewhere in between, is welcomed by Second Wind Network.

Our hope is that you will catch your second wind and use it
significantly
for the extension of God's kingdom.

second wind network is a network of mission agencies, churches, and individuals keen to see a movement of Australian Christians in the "second half" of their productive adult life actively engaged in fulfilling the Great Commission.

second wind network aims to mobilise "second half" Australian Christians into active involvement in local and global mission through information, inspiration and challenge and by providing easy access to strategic pathways into mission – short term or as a second career.

second wind network exists to:

 Encourage "second half" Christians to maximise their involvement in the completion of the Great Commission.

 Assist churches to mobilise their "second half" members into mission involvement.

 Support the sending agencies, and is not a sending agency itself.

 Provide an interface between local churches and mission agencies where people can ask questions and explore opportunities without fear of pressure.

 Address issues concerning Second Wind people related to their involvement in mission.

 Highlight the mission opportunities available.

We invite you to search these pages to find out about steps you can take from your career to get involved in ministry - short-term, long-term, in Australia or overseas. There are many opportunities which are offered by our Partner mission agencies.

You will find ways we can partner with your church to provide seminars and courses tailor-made to your needs and timetable.
